What style of
photography does BMP do?
We like to let your children just be themselves. We are patient and don't mind waiting to get that perfect shot. Kids will be kids and we understand that they will have moments of imperfection and that's OK! We're there to make them (and you) as comfortable as possible so we can capture their unique personality. We would be glad to try to pose some shots per your requests but will mainly just shoot and capture those moments that happen naturally. Most sessions last about an hour which allows plenty of time for us to get it all on film!
Where will my session take place?
We have several outdoor locations that have worked well for us at past sessions. We also offer a studio session if you prefer to have your session indoors.
What if my child gets sick?
We understand that children can be unpredictable and can get sick at the last minute. We ask that you call to reschedule your session as soon as possible if your child is sick.
What should we wear?
Create a timeless look by using white and pastel colors for an infant or small child. Keep away from Bright colors, stripes, plaids and patterns, which over power a child in a portrait. Jeans or khakis with bare feet (weather permitting) look nice. We ask that you dress all subjects to be photographed in similar clothing (for example, all denim or all khakis).
Who should come to our session?
It is best to only bring the persons being photographed to your session.
Children can become easily distracted when there are too many people around "watching" them.
Does BMP offer framing?
Yes, at your proof viewing appointment we will have frames and prices available for you. Please contact us for further information.
When will my proofs and final prints
be ready?
Your proofs will be available for viewing within 1 weeks. We will schedule a time for you after your session to review your proofs with us. At this time we will answer any questions you have and offer you some suggestions for enlargements. We ask that orders be placed within 1 week. Final print orders will be ready within 4-6 weeks and can be picked up from us.
